November already!?

Yay the All Blacks won the World Cup!  While most of the Northern Hemisphere focused on trick or treating, the Kiwis and Aussies were glued to the tellie yesterday for an exciting match.  So glad New Zealand came out on top.  Nonu Nonu Nonu!

The match was interrupted quite a few times by local trick or treaters because we had done our best to get in the Halloween spirit…

In other news…  the back yard is getting a makeover.  This is the before picture:

And this is what happened on Wednesday:

They’ve since re-tiled the patio right outside the house and this week they should bring some more dirt and then the sod.  We are very excited to have grass for Morgy!

So the weeks are flying by here.  In October we had a string of lovely visitors.  Here we are with Nic and Liz at Castle Coch, a fabulous little “19th century gothic revival” just north of Cardiff.

Then we had a flying visit from Eva and Ross.  Last time we saw them was in Nelson, in October 2014.  Can’t believe that was a year ago!!

I’m really missing New Zealand lately so I will reminisce here a little and throw in a picture from their deck in Tahunanui, Nelson, with a view towards Kahurangi National Park.  So pretty!

Back to Cardiff!  Here I am with the lovely Estelle who came all the way from Frome with a birthday cake for me.  Now who can argue with guests who bring chocolate cake!?  YAY CAKE!

And then Maria, Arthur and Juddy (not pictured unfortunately!) from Leicester.  Maria is one of my best mum friends from Wellington and Arthur was one of Morgan’s first little buddies.

Look at these two little cuties!!  Let me see if I can find a pic of when they were last together…

Amazing how fast they grow!  That was September 2014 in Newtown, Wellington.  Don’t blink right?!

Great to see everyone!!!  Can’t wait to see the next lot of New Zealand visitors — Richard and Julia will be with us in a few weeks.  I miss our New Zealand friends so much.  Big hugs to all of you.

Oh!  This weekend’s project: curtains for Morgy!  Thanks Kath for lending me your sewing machine.
